Scope of Project
The project’s scope involved addressing the unavailability of the original Ash Breaker bearings and proposing modifications to enhance the crusher’s performance.
Our team recommended adapting the design to accommodate a more widely available bearing and seal arrangement.
Additionally, a suggestion was made to incorporate a wear plate into the main frame to extend the crusher’s lifespan and improve resistance against wear and tear.
Key Deliverables
The initial modified Ash Breaker, incorporating the suggested bearing, seal arrangement and the wear plate was handed over to the client in November 2020.
As of the latest update, the modified Ash Breaker has yet to undergo servicing, indicating a prolonged operational lifespan.
Before Mecha’s modification, the average lifespan was reported to be between 12 to 18 months, highlighting the success of the project in achieving enhanced durability and reduced maintenance requirements.
The deliverables reflect not only the technical success of the modifications but also the positive impact on the Ash Breaker’s overall performance and longevity.
